December 27, 2024 - (Gold Market Wire) - Our Silver spec, in the end, did not work, and we have tired of waiting for the market to react. With the present move up, we will now close it out.

The market is listless, almost pleading for the end of the year, and there is little action to be found.

Our decision to cut core holdings and transfer funds to leverage long the US Dollar has been the right one.

When you consider the turmoil in the world, both internationally, and domestic (US), it is a wonder we do not have more volitility.

In truth, we are starting to get concerned about the market, per se. Is someone trapping the market in a band, refusing to let it move? Has the Chinese led OTC trade made COMEX irrelevant? Has the US government told the big traders to stop participating in futures? Has the futures market become irrelevant in price discovery?

Obviously one cannot, at the end of the year draw many conclusions from recent action... but this has the stench of death about it. Has the Gold market died, and we just haven't realised it yet? Has the time come to grab the Kruggerands and hit the shelter to wait it all out?

Until Trump hits that Oval Office chair, it appears the market will be too nervous to move.
